World Series of Poker sponsorship of friends … Is this useful?
Last year, the WSOP Main Event has given me nothing (all expenses and the $ 10,000 buy-in) and won just over $ 30K. This year, I have friends who want a piece of the action to pay part of the buy-in and travel. Things were simple in the last year as taxes and such and I'm not sure if I want the extra work to see that the income (if I win nothing) is distributed and the tax forms are clean. Has anyone done this (without line inputs, including won included) which have been sponsored to play? Any suggestions on how to address this or should I pay the bill and the risk of new single?
