What main skill is required to become a top Pro Poker Player ?
Is it Math ? Judgement ? Education ? Balls ?
There are plenty of different elements when it comes to being a pro poker player. Players need to be good at risk assessment in order to evaluate whether it is worth folding or raising or checking, they need to be able to be deceptive in order to bluff, they need to be analytical of opponents movements and game play tactics to help them call other players bluffs, they need to be willing to take a risk but at the same time have self control to not play fast and loose all the time and naturally they need a whole lot of practice to get good at it. A poker face is really not going to get you far if you don’t even know what you’re doing in the first place, it can only get you so far. Pro players have a variety of skills that helped them to get to where they are today, it’s not just a matter of they got lucky.
