Making the switch from Linux?
Hey, I know what you think is the best replacement for Linux applications as follows, Photoshop, Outlook, Flash, 3D Studio Max, and SciTE. The steam also run Linux (for games that have already invested money in these games), Poker Stars, and World of Warcraft? ANNND, What do you prefer KDE or Gnome, oh and what is your favorite distro for a laptop! thanks! SciTE is a text editor suitable for programming in different languages .. Java is one I use it mainly for. He has a highly customizable work environment, and syntax highlighting. And I know that is cross platform and wonder if you use something better:). Oh, and I'm searching for open source Flash replacement.

There are few but are open source and are not so well. Steam does not work. Nor is WOW. However, you can install the software virtualization emulates a Windows environment and allows you to play WoW at least. Try Cedega or wine. I prefer KDE, but I use Linux not much. Most users like Gnome better for its simplicity. If you're a power user, Debian would be better. Otherwise, Ubuntu (or Kubuntu for KDE) is a good option. Good luck!
