why is slowrolling so bad ethic live poker?
Why is slowrolling to induce a bluff/call such a bad ethic at a poker table?
Its all about money and everyone at the table is a enemy right?
You can act like ur hand is shaking to trick someone that u got the nuts but why cant u slowroll then?
I just dont get it.
I always am impressed instead of angry when i see someone make a well acted slowroll
You aren’t using the term “slowroll” correctly.
A slowroll isn’t used to induce a bluff or a call. That’s called “slow playing” and no one ever has a problem with that.
A slowroll is when you have the nuts, and still take a long time to call, perhaps making the other person think you will fold, or maybe they have the best hand.
If the board is K-K-Q-4-4, and you have K-K in your hand, you can pretend to be shaky all you want. You put in a small bet, and I push all-in as a raise. That’s slowplaying. That’s fine, well done. If you then sat around and pretended to think for awhile before finally calling with your 4 of a kind, that’s a slow roll, and you are a dick.
